Confused about nutrition?

Information about nutrition is ever where on TV, Internet and even on radio. No wonder why many of us are confused about nutrition. Nutritional product suppliers who are using infomercial to promote their products make it even more confusing when it comes to choosing the right nutritional products. Adopt a simple policy of nutrition. Here’s how to get the right nutrition your body need.

  • Stick to variety of natural, organic, and whole foods as closest to their natural state. Limit or avoid eating processed food, fast food and junk food.
  • Eat a balanced diet that includes carbohydrates, protein, and fats. Your meal should have 45 to 65 carbohydrates, 10 to 35 percent protein, and 20 to 35 percent fats depending on your needs.
  • Unused calories accumulate in your body as body fat. Your fat comes from your food and therefore, do not over eat. Eat only what your body use to avoid accumulation of fat.
  • It is a good idea to avoid sucrose, dextrose, glucose, and high fructose corn syrup. Bottom line is stay away from sugars.
  • Plan your meals and stay away from dairy products as much as possible. A sound diet can provide all the nutrition you need.
  • Listen to your body.
