Natural remedies for insomnia

A good night’s sleep is a must to rejuvenate your body after a tiring day. Not being able to achieve that can be a detriment to your life as you are unable to function properly and over a period of time this could lead to health problems as well as personal problems. You will be able to get relief by following these natural remedies.

Relax: Before you go to bed make sure you have attended to all the tasks for the day. Have a shower, change in to night clothes and listen to calming music or read a book.

Avoid caffeine: Caffeine is a stimulant which if used excessively will hinder your sleep. Do not have more than one cup and avoid it in the evenings.

Room temperature: Adjust the temperature to make you feel comfortable, it should not be too hot or too cold.

Meals: avoid having a large dinner just before going to sleep. Eat a few hours before to allow the food to digest. Have a glass of warm milk at bedtime, the calcium in the milk will calm and relax you.

Exercise: it will de- stress and relax you and make you feel tired which will induce sleep.
